The third of a 5 part videorecording describing life on the Esketemc-Shuswap First Nations reserve near Williams Lake, B.C. There is a financial crisis on the reserve, in part because some people have been refusing to pay their rent, since others are in arrears. A consultant from the Yukon promises financial deals with logging companies. Mike, the young AIDS patients, speaks about his condition as he prepares to film a video to be shown at his funeral. Debbie, an elder, has had a hysterectomy and radiation treatment due to uterine cancer. She returns to the reserve. Some of the younger girls dress up in Halloween costumes. Mike's mother, Megga, reads a poem about being the mother of child dying of AIDS.
